Hospital Waste Reduction Programme

Our first cross-line programme is starting to become a reality. Greenwise Circular Plastics and Greenwise Care, Welfare and Technology want to join hands and launch a programme with HTRIC to reduce hospital waste.

Pressure Cooker Sessie

Last Friday, on 9 February, a pressure cooker session took place with all stakeholders to come up with projects. The aim is to work together on the Green Deal Sustainable Care in a Northern Netherlands context, specifically around circular material flows. During this pressure cooker session, we mapped out what is already happening, what is still needed, which additional partners are still needed, and which topics have priority.

It was a productive morning, with many good ideas. We will now work out the plans in working groups. This morning was organised by Greenwise Circular Plastics and HTRIC.

Participating parties are:

Hanzehogeschool, Rijksuniversiteit Groningen, NHL Stenden Circular Plastics, HTRIC, Greenwise Campus, Ecoras, Medisch Centrum Leeuwarden, Ommelander Ziekenhuis, Antonius Ziekenhuis, SanteonGroup, Reblend, Hartplastic, UMCG, Gemeente Emmen, Provincie Drenthe, TreantZorggroep, Martini Ziekenhuis en Nij Smellinghe en Wilhelmina Ziekenhuis

Greenwise Campus is an initiative of NHL Stenden, Drenthe College, University of Groningen, Province of Drenthe and Municipality of Emmen. And is one of the iconic projects of the University of the North.
